Mission to support skill training, self-employment and livelihoods for the urban poor.
Livelihood support in cities
NULM helps eligible urban residents improve income through training, self-help groups and access to credit and employment.

1. Identification
Urban poor groups and individuals are identified through surveys / community structures.

2. Skill development
Training is arranged for suitable trades and services.

3. Placement / self-employment
Beneficiaries are linked to jobs, SHGs or micro enterprises.
Skill Training (ESTP)
Employment through Skill Training and Placement for eligible youth.
Self Help Groups
Formation and support of SHGs, especially women groups, with access to credit.
Street Vendor Support
Assistance for urban street vendors as per scheme norms and local plans.
